・Quality
LabProof SE's color proofing system can be easily tailored to your output devices. It enables close matching to the target printed product and provides consistently high-quality proofing.
・Speed
LabProof SE performs complex color matching adjustments automatically, which reduces the strain on operators. This translates into fast, high-precision color matching.
・Cost
Since LabProof SE's inkjet printer proofing does not require plates or film,
the cost of materials is reduced.
LabProof SE Ver.2.0 adopts a server/client system. Remote design and prepress departments can submit jobs directly and check progress through a client PC on a network, for improved operability.
* The client can be a Windows or Mac machine.
A new function called "LabProof Monitor" has been added to LabProof SE. Operators can use LabProof Monitor to create PDFs with embedded profiles and send them to the client before actual proof output. These PDFs allow users to check the finished quality on screen, even at a remote location. The decisions based on the on-screen proof checks are fed back to the LabProof SE server, and the system can be set up so that the proofs are output automatically when online approval is received.
LabProof Certify measures the color in proofs after output and determines whether the proof color meets the target color standards. Clients get assurance for each proof sheet, so they can be confident they are receiving consistently high-quality color proofs.
* Depending on the type of printer used, itÅfs possible to set up the automated system so that colors are measured automatically by the spectrophotometer loaded on the printer during the process on printing, and the evaluation results are output onto the proof.
LabProof SE automatically creates optimized color matching tables using ICC profiles and scans of color charts output by the final output device.
During color adjustment, LabProof SE controls the printer and spectrophotometer through repeated output and measurement of color charts. LabProof SE optimizes color reproduction automatically and ensures that colors are as close as possible to the targeted printed product, which results in high-precision color matching.
The level of color matching precision is displayed numerically as ∆E, so the operator can confirm the accuracy of the output from the printer at a glance.
The Trueflow SE client can send output instructions to LabProof SE. The function that allows Trueflow SE to communicate with LabProof SE also enables it to receive output information. Operation is easy: The file is simply dragged and dropped onto a hot folder for which output conditions have been specified, after which the data is automatically output to the printer. Files that have been output can be saved in LabProof SE for easy repeat output.
Dot proof enables halftone dot simulations that resemble the originals of high-resolution 1-bit TIFFs, in case of 2,400 dpi/175 lpi output. Dot proof makes it possible for operators to check output using proofs that are extremely similar to the final offset printing output.
LabProof Certify measures the color in proofs output by the printer and evaluates whether the resulting color meets target color matching standards.
LabProof SE can simultaneously be connected to and make output calculations for multiple printers, either of the same type or different types.
* There are some printers for which multiple printer support is not available.
